HC Five Star Academy returns for summer 2026

Introduced in 2024 and hugely popular! The academy sessions are designed to stretch players at the top end of their age group. High intensity, high end skills and advanced tactics will make up the majority of these group sessions.

Athletes are expected to bring a first class attitude and a willingness to learn from some of the best coaches in the area.

The academy is designed for A team club/school players, those in the county hockey setup or higher and those wishing to play senior 1st XI club/school hockey and Talent Academy.

The Academy sessions are split into two age groups - Year 5+6 and Year 7-9.

New for 2026, the Academy takes the form of 6 evening session spread across two blocks during the summer term.
